Full Moon Oracle ~ Sweeping Sister Willow

In honor of this Virgo Full Moon, I chose to pull a card from the Kuan Yin Oracle deck.

With this moon activating the Pisces/Virgo axis, we see themes of health, both spiritual and physical, emerging. I sat in contemplation of this as I shuffled the deck, asking for the message I was to share for this occasion; the message that would serve the highest good…

 

SWEEPING SISTER WILLOW

Sweeping Sister Willow gently brings you healing for forgiveness and release of old pain now. Let her branches gracefully sweep any sadness and pain from your heart and Soul. Your time for greater inner freedom is dawning and the cleansing [of] sadness and healing of forgiveness is the pathway to that greater freedom now. Forgiveness is a way to raise your vibration by shedding old energies that drain you and prevent you from having all your power available to you now. We suffer less from harsh judgements which do not feel good for our heart and drain our Soul forces. Forgiveness is a powerful spiritual practice that helps you disconnect your energetic circuits from people, places, situations and memories that can drain your power from the present moment and slow down your spiritual growth and the physical manifestation of your heart’s desire and Soul purpose.

At present you are growing spiritually, and you need your power in the present moment to fuel your process. 10. EMPRESS OF THE PEARL

You have an inner gift of great value, born of struggle, adversity and challenge. In wisdom you know that suffering can lead to growth provided we are willing to search for a way to heal through it. Natural pearls are rare, lustrous feminine gems, created within a living organism, the pearl oyster. They have a unique creation process. Natural pearls are created when a foreign entity, such as a grain of sand or a parasite, finds its way into the pearl oyster. You can look down and notice any irritation, discomfort, negativity, or fear that has been of concern for you. The larger the light grows within, the smaller that issue becomes.

Today we welcome the energy of the Quan Yin Oracle card Vale of Shadows…

43. VALE OF SHADOWS

A lotus blossoms with deep rich mud into which she plunges her roots and draws great nourishment. From this mud, made of water and earth, growth happens and great beauty is revealed. Your Soul thrives through depth of emotion and aliveness of your body into which she can plant her Self and unfold as a lotus of light.

Your Soul is blossoming. Just like a plant that outgrows the pot in which it has been planted and requires more soil to spread its roots and continue growing, your Soul lotus needs some more mud – some more water and earth energy – so that it can grow and shine.

In the spiritual worlds, all things serve. Everything. Including our darker emotions and parts of our body that we may not think are acceptable. They are actually good nourishment for our Soul. The Soul craves love … be in love with all parts of you! Like a passionate divine lover, it wants to hold nothing back and become completely spiritually intimate with all aspects and and all parts of you whether you have thought they were lovable or not.

This can be challenging because it can feel extremely uncomfortable to visit and consciously engage with those aspects of our personality and our bodies that we have yet to really love and accept. Yet this is what you are guided to embrace now.

This process might be started by taking a class or engaging in a physical practice that honors the shadow part of you. If you have considered yourself an introverted person, it might be to begin to honor the counter side of  this, the part that needs community and people in order to thrive. If you consider your self a quiet person, you might need to explore how you can find joy through sound, music and energy, for example. If you consider yourself a passionate person, you could benefit from finding the part of you that is peaceful and content in the moment with things exactly as they are right now.

This inner play isn’t about saying that who you are now is not enough, it is about acknowledging that you are that thing you believe you are not – and finding a way to live with it with consciousness and love. It is about delving into the parts of you that have been hidden in the vale of shadows, and are now becoming ready to be revealed and lived as a part of the beautiful and whole being that you are in truth.

In particular this oracle asks you to look at where you can nourish your emotional and physical life with more focus- perhaps through art, creativity, journaling your dreams, creating collages, or engaging in dance or other forms of movement. Your spirit needs to thrive at this time.

Seven Stars

Anyone that knows me at all, knows I have a love of Tarot. There are so many fantastic decks out there to choose from, but I began to focus more on self-published decks after coming across the lovely mashup of vintage cards in the Deck of the Bastard created by Seven Stars at Tarot by Seven. I had looked around for vintage cards, and the prices just about made my eyes pop out of my head! When I found the Deck of the Bastard I was in love with both the cards and the price!

If you have any sort of inclination towards things vintage and love tarot, this is THE shop for you! Seven Stars takes vintage card images (worn & torn sides and all) and formats them into a modern, user friendly deck! You can tell she reads cards as well because the finish on the deck is superbly smooth and the deck I purchased has one of the best shuffles I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. No sticky cards and they glide out of the deck like a dream!

Deck of the Bastard

One of my favorite features of the decks she creates is the many custom options she provides. You can choose the backs of the cards, and pick whether or not they have borders & titles/keywords (for Tarot) and some sets you can chose the size of the cards as well. Because these are self-published, you’re not locked in to one deck, there are so many variations and she will work with you to help you create the right deck for you.

I also had the wonderful experience of having her read for me, and her reading was so helpful; it confirmed some intuitive feelings I was having but not totally accepting. It really helped set me back on track and helped me appreciate my situation more deeply.

More about Seven Stars:

For years I was a street reader in Omaha (now I read all over). I have been reading cards since 1987. In the fall of 2012, after looking for years for my “dream deck”, I gave up & decided to try to make one myself.
I had a lot of things I wanted in a deck. I wanted a useable, vintage deck that looked weathered, like it had been handed down for generations. I wanted an interesting old looking back, illustrated pips, and I wanted everything in English, and I didn’t want it to look like it was all dropped into a template. And so, after a lot of work, I came up with the Deck of the Bastard – a compilation of several old decks that I put together in such a way as to make one contiguous looking set.
I was really happy with the Deck of the Bastard, & I thought perhaps other readers might be interested in it as well, & so I put them up for sale on various sites, and took some to local shops.
Soon I started getting requests – some people wanted keywords on their decks, some people wanted Lenormands, custom backs, different decks, a movie producer even asked to use one of the decks in a movie she’s making called Tarot, A Documentary Love Story, coming out in 2014.
I love doing this sort of thing so I just kept rolling with it & making more things. I hope to keep doing this. This is like, “living the dream” for me.
