Lady
The lady is me
The lady is he
The lady is she
The lady is in all existence
As born in each being
The balance to maintain the Soul
Energy manifested as seen fit
Utilized as a counter measure to view the other side
Stepping through with ease and grace
She is the one holding the scale
Creating balance of the Entity where all is equal
Balance from contrast where all is created
Not a lady
The balance of life
This morning I saw an excerpt of this poem on my feed. I’m sharing it here because it goes so well with the card I pulled for us this morning!
I asked the question “What is the message for us this New Moon day?”
The 2 of Swords is often a card about partnership and balance. It usually refers to a “partnership” with just one other person as opposed to with groups of people. This card shows a need for give and take (none of us are always right 100% of the time, and everyone to some degree has something to offer.) Consider to what degree your life, and your partnerships, are in balance.
In general the 2 of Swords tells us that your partnerships are likely to be going at least somewhat well, whether these be friendships, romantic, or business. However, you should consider the depths of your commitment to equality in these and whether or not you are being treated as an equal by your partners. If you are not, it may be time to bring things back into balance. This will almost certainly require open communication on your part. Nothing changes without effort.
When this card appears in the context of health questions, it signifies a need to pay very close attention to one’s emotions. How are you feeling about things/people in your life? [Journaling] and/or talking things out with someone you trust is very important now and can lead to a healthier outcome/to health breakthroughs. Positive thinking and balanced behavior is crucial now. Eating right, sleeping enough, getting enough exercise, drinking enough fluids.
When the 2 appears in relation to questions regarding spirituality, it shows that you are on a more balanced and positive path than you realize. Hold fast to what you believe and how you see things, even if your system doesn’t work for everyone.
With this New Moon in Libra, the themes are Balance, Choices, Awareness and Change. I see the blindfolded woman as being extra aware, utilizing intuition over physical sight. The white robe represents purity and the need to approach things from a clear, healthy place making sure we are being moderate in our actions, and the swords represent carefully directing our intentions.
The Suit of Swords can be thought of as the third suit of the Tarot’s Minor Arcana. The four suits together make up a kind of formula for manifesting desires into reality. As the third suit, Swords represent the action stage of manifestation. Swords are about movement and struggle. Many Swords in a reading indicate action of course, but can also indicate struggle since they represent the effort before the end result.

This card is strikingly Libran in that the suit of Swords represent the element Air, and Libra is an Air sign. The crossed swords, which represent being at a crossroads, are also in balance as are Libra’s scales. We must carefully consider what choices we have in life, and use a combination of our intellect (again an Air quality) and intuition (notice the Sea behind the woman, the element Water represents intuition and emotion in Tarot, and we have this element present in 2 of Swords) to guide us in the right direction.
In honor of this Libran New Moon, I intuitively created a grid on my altar that I will keep up all month. I did this last New Moon, my focus for the Virgo New Moon was Organization, and I was really able to manifest more organization into my life. This New Moon I am setting the intention for Balance, Clarity of Thought and Increased Intuitive Awareness. I incorporated stones for the chakral areas I need to balance, included Hematite for it’s ability to calm and clear the mind, Amazonite for intuition, Aventurine to promote healthy growth and Peacock Ore for alignment. The Quartz points are what send the energy out to the Universe!

With this grid my intent was to create a balance that still had imperfection, as we sometimes assume balance must be perfect, but imperfections are what give us much needed wiggle room in life and should be embraced. Imperfections allow space for creativity and movement! Libra’s scales are not soldered at the center in a perfect, rigid equilibrium; there is room for motion, the fluid sway that allows us to be flexible and open to change.
New Moon Blessings!
During the energy of the New Moon, we want to seek out information (Air) that can help us engage in the proper behaviors that will help manifest what we came here to do! This is a great time to get Tarot or Oracle readings. I have personally had a reading done by TheMysticHealer on etsy and she has a wonderful reading style. I really appreciated the clear message that came through for me, and was able to immediately implement the solutions presented in the reading. If you are interested in a professional reading I highly recommend her. ~Druyan
